Decent day but started raining at around dusk and still doing so on and off now.

Got to 9c which officially could be called average to mild but felt cold and raw in the breeze.

Don't worry, The Daily Express are talking about heavy rain and gales for the rest of the year so given their track record, a drought must be imminent.

Weather rubbish just like my day.

and lastweek had to have albert the border terrier put to sleep as his back legs suddenly gave up.

he was 13.

And today my cat of 15 is on its way out the vet said...need some cold weather to cheer me up.

sorry to hear that ,a tough week indeed ,borders are a good fun dog to have and cats too .....

yes tough week now I have to take my cat back at a later date to be put to sleep as I wouldn't let them do it then as my children needed to say goodbye first. Not sure how to make that decision or when and yes border terriers are certainly characters. He didn't like the cold not like me.

Yeah I pretty sure that this mornings BBC forecast didn't go to plan, certainly for my part of the region.

A dry day was expected, whereas the reality was shower after shower for most of daylight hours and after a short brighter spell just before dusk it's raining again now.

I just hope that they are as wrong when the colder weather finally arrives and we are forecast the usual dry conditions with snow in other parts.

some dry weather would be great ,building a brick wall ,decking area and summerhouse in garden which is now like a mud bath !!!!!....
