Parts of Dorchester have been hit bad, lots of calls to the fire brigade apparently.

Quite a lot of lightning and heavy rain here at Broadmayne in the past hour Mapantz

The warning actually came out shortly after we had a heavy thunderstorm here and it has been raining on and off since. Looking at the radar there was another storm just to the west of Dorchester at about the same time.

Not aware of any thunder here, but there has been a lot of rain.  I shall find out in the morning just how much!

While all of that is going on, it's completely clear sky here, an oddly, it feels very mild at 13.0C. Not a common combination to have clear sky, no wind and mild between September and April at night.

Distant flash then? Crap just turned off the tv...

Throwing it down here again, yet not heard or seen anything. The radar showed what looked like cells over us this afternoon, but still there eas nothing but rain.

Missed all the rain around here yesterday.. Turned out a lovely warm day with nice sunny spells. (Temp reached 18C). The heavy rain parted through the central midlands and went up to the west or east of us.

This morning the same with a temp already at 11.6C

The front coming in this evening could have some very heavy rain embedded within it. The NMM certainly thinks so..

The winter rampathon is sure gathering momentum now - a record breaking OPI, Ely QBO, warm stratosphere etc. Reading some of the posts you'd think a repeat of 1947 is odds on. Although the major global met organisations such as Met Office, JMA are predicting a mild winter apparently we should ignore their forecasts because we on here of course know better!

Imagine the reaction if we get 3 months of Barlettgeddon!
