Sorry pip, how can you write of the whole of December as mild?

Overnight low of -1.9c here and topped out at 6c today, as for

December I would say with 90% confidence it wont be mild

C.S

Forget it about the write the whole December off. The models tonight is awesome!! I just thought the models would be showing the Atlantic mild borefest onslaught by now.   :)  From Midweek next week we will be in the proper cold weather with fog and frost in places which may linger all day.

WINTER AT LAST!!  :cold:  :D  :cold:

Yes hopefully a change of month will bring a change of weather to the UK.

I think it's a bit early to start looking at how wintry it will become but the signals for a change to colder conditions are certainly there at the moment.

Get to within 48 hours with bitter cold still showing and I'll start to believe.

I just hope the Azores High goes to the right place over or north of  the UK for the colder weather to arrive. Conversely if the Azores High decides to go to south of the UK then its game over for the time being. Fingers crossed for the Azores High.

Dark, cold and starting to rain.

Not a lot else to say although dark, cold and starting to snow would be better.

A very grey, raw-feeling morning.

It does actually feel like winter now (I know it's still technically autumn).

Yes, Sparkle I have just read both versions, credit to Ed and Tony

Alot of time and effort put in by both, I just hope that some

Members dont ridicule it if the cold spells dont materialise bang

On Q, the proof with a LRF will be in March

Obviously the devil is in the detail but if the timing is to be believed then worth a small flutter on a white Christmas.
