Watching the meteox radar and I notice at the end of the frame something pops up near the North Kent Coast out of nowhere....

http://www.meteox.co.uk/h.aspx?r=&jaar=-3&soort=loop1uur

Then also i notice the precipitation actually slips more favourable for our Region around 03:00am

False reading probably, it often picks up the off shore wind farm in cold weather for some reason.

If I was Hampshire I wouldn't give up, look at the 3hr radar, it starts to take a more Southerly track rather than the SW..

Well I have to say it really has been a pleasant surprise tonight. Been snowing for a few hours, about 8cms in places. My son is staying at his nans but it did not stop me going out and building a snowman regardless. I was not at all embarrassed when a man approached me asking to borrow a lighter, I even asked him to inspect my work. Good times. :)

Just had a quick measure now its stopped, and we've had 3.75cm snow in central Peterborough - most since March 2013.   Sky is still cloudy, but you can see the moon through the cloud.   Temperature 0C DP -1.8 - both are dropping again since snow stopped.

What do reckon Daniel, the precip over Norfolk!! Any chance of getting to us??

Looks to be aligning up with the main precip, keep a eye on the radar, things can build and grow from nowhere take a couple days ago for example showers, just exploded to life.

Wait up in London, it should be with you within and hour or so, it might not necessarily hit everywhere though, Good Luck.

Fun and games kicking of outcomes Norwich

the latest NMM looks really good for parts of the SE later on in the night and into tomorrow morning, trains of snow showers, only marginal if you're dipping your toes in the sea

London is going to get hit by those heavy showers heading from norwich

I think London will be the sweet spot, just wait until this front hits the Thames in a few hours.
