If there's a mild sector in this snow band it can stay where it is, I'm happy with my -3.3dp -1.1temp and moon dog.

No mild sector at all, onshore wind has developed coming off the North Sea since it is quite 'warm', lifting the temperatures and dew points, it will have no ramifications elsewhere.

Just been talking to someone in the know and they've just told me that the snow shield is expected to remain online

Is it.just me or does it.look like that lot over Norfolk is starting to merge with the slightly decaying snow band over Oxfordshire?;-) could this be our 3 to 4am slot

I think the whole line is a front that is slowly sliping south. The ppn is moving a long the front westward

Spot on and was going to post the same thing.

Off to bed now as im expecting a drier period. Rather pleased because I am hoping for a period of clear skies to freeze the lying snowfall.

No concerns of thawing snow here as temps are 0C and dewpoints of -2C.

After last shower I reckon we have around 5cm outside.

Looking forward to seeing your snowman tomorrow then. :)

Watching the meteox radar and I notice at the end of the frame something pops up near the North Kent Coast out of nowhere....

http://www.meteox.co.uk/h.aspx?r=&jaar=-3&soort=loop1uur

Then also i notice the precipitation actually slips more favourable for our Region around 03:00am

Light icy, glittery snow has just turned to huge flakes here in the High Wycombe wye valley - beautiful!

If what i had an hour ago is coming your way worth staying up. Less snow here now but id say 2/3 inches everywhere

Keep thinking the snow in Stevenage will die down any moment....but it keeps on coming and the unexpected and impressive dusting is being upgraded minute by minute :)

One more from me.

If I was living in London I wouldn't be giving up just yet. Whether I would have the stamina to stay up all night is another matter because if snowfall does occur it's going to be a while yet before arrives.
