If there is any more showers here, hopefully it will be all snow, as dp has now gone negative.

I can see a weak streamer setting up in the perfect place atm, about 50 miles off the Coast making a perfect line which is heading WSW At present, granted it is pretty weak but it is there none the less, probably wont settle though lol

Is this like a Feb 2009 situation Paul?

Wind swinging round to EENE maybe even direct E'ly from around 9pm tonight right through tomorrow. Last chance saloon for snow showers I think, certainly for the next 10 days or so as HP takes over.

Been working from home today and just watched every single shower skirt passed here.  Kids are desperate to see some proper snow.  We missed out on all the snow Tuesday and this morning aswell.

Been rubbish, hasn't it

Now things could get interesting. This long snaky streamer strung up the coast of Essex would appear to have our name on it. The first bit should arrive within the next 20 minutes. Just need it to pep up a bit, fill in the gaps, and either hit us directly or get a bit wider. Don't want any near misses.

Anyone else in this stream who can report on intensity and composition?

Got caught in a light snow/graupel shower in billericay. Nothing significant and it's back to partly cloudy skies now.

Actually even this streamer or others like it aren't going to be that much use. It is actually sliding eastwards all the time, so nowhere will get caught for long enough for it to be significant.

Still, it is beautiful as it approaches. Sky has turned completely orange to the east.
