Just had the first lot and it kept switching between sleet & snow so hasn't stuck. Looking at radar seems only is snowing at 500m alt, so even if you get it you likely won't be lucky unless you very high up.

Suprised that you are reporting sleet at 350 ASL so much for the cold air then very frustrating to say the least.

Very strange considering that rogue shower i was talking about passed over whaley bridge in Derbyshire and left a slight covering that is a lot lower than your location.

Looking at the radar track we must be in a warm sector as was snowing at lower heights just a few miles south and then all the way to Hebden Bridge.

Now got heavy snow here and its starting to settle on grass! Looks like this streamer has forced the temps lower enough now.

Can't really see us getting much snow over weekend and into early next week. The fronts don't look to get anywhere near our region really. Then back to milder air midweek onwards.

Not doom and gloom just saying what the models are showing at the moment. And in my opinion I think it will be very marginal snow wise for our region with the systems stalling out west before they get chance to hit our part of the world

In all honesty anything could happen. Even the models aint got a clue, the professionals that are paid to work it out don't have a clue either!

So in my eyes anything is on the table and up for grabs. :)

Sunny may see some snow for some us and I suspect Monday may do as well.

Sunday is being shown to be very far west now, completely missing this region. Most extreme example of our snow chances is the ARPEGE that us having no chance of any significant snow - but it has the up side of having us in Ice Days from Sunday till the end of its run - the temps on that are truly staggering.

Sunday will all change anyway as its 30 hours till the band would be near here, so never know it might move back east.

Not according to the latest Euro 4. West and South Yorkshire is in the firing line for a period of heavy snow. For East Yorkshire it's time to shed some tears for Sunday and Monday I'm afraid

It is missing the region the bulk is heading for the Cheshire gap on the Euro4 and all the short range models now :(. Only thing we get is just its outer edge, which could deliver a few cm's but will likely be so light it wont settle even with the sub zero temps.
