Had been in ironbridge (running a race that started in the frankly stupid head of 29 degrees!) tonight and came back via telford. Sat under a developing cell in telford for a bit, few rumbles and then on drive back down a5 could see a nice cell spitting out lightening North of town. Watched if for a while North of town and its growing. Places North look to be set to do well.

Was also a strike in the town and some rumbles of thunder.

Not a lightening free day round here after all.

Just seen on Twatter, 3 reports of Funnel Clouds with this storm near Scotch Corner - Wherever that is ? Anyone know

Its east along the A66 from Hawes close to Tan Hill along the Pennine Way.

Looking south-west, I can just about see the occasional flicker of lightning. No thunder yet though - I think it's too far west at the moment for me, but it may move closer. :)

This storm is higher based than the one earlier on with lots of cc strikes

And with it getting dark, should be some nice late night flickering up to 50 off miles radius.

Can someone confirm this storms structure my car is currently being pounded and I mean pounded by chunks of ice!!


Got videos of this I have never ever seen anything like it my car is taking some battering
