Desperate to get one decent pic - any tips for settings with a Canon 60D + 10-22mm please? I did some test shots last month (no lightning) but obviously not going to be the same. Not much in the way of "interesting" backgrounds round here either!

The storm out to my south east over the water is consent flashing (crazy one I reckon), also have flashing from the south west too

That's currently over/near me in Bexley. Pretty good storm, although now more lightning than thunder. ..

Just had massive 3 sided cell. Wish the dog would settle as the lightning was seriously spectacular and I wanted to photograph it. Quite torrential rain too. Lovely and muggy now!

Lightening galore...sheet and fork.  Rumbles of thunder, however, nothing major.  A tad surprised, as not particularly humid today. Loving this though x

Huge lightening over Medway towns

Now frequent lightening, heavy-ish rain and one almighty crack of thunder here.

That was a short-lived affair. Neither met or Beeb at 10.30 had anything for my area after midnight. Hopefully incorrect.

Such a variety of colours, yellows, reds, purples. A real beauty and it seems to be marching up the A12.

Still no rain. Great light show when not obstructed by clouds, still distant.

Radar shows some very intense storms over dover.

The worrying thing is for some reason since the first storm started there's been a helecopter flying, hope nothing has happened to any shipping, storm seems to be right over the ferry lanes.
