M23 in Sussex from Brighton is like a storm generator, keep sending them up to sarf London ...

lightning strike spotted in the far distance looking south from Rushden, Northamptonshire! deffo was a strike for sure, a good 60  - 70 miles away.

wow thats impressive, eyes south now!

Can confirm a high based purple flash must be elevated no thunder whatsoever....

True that bro, I think we're in with a shot looking at the radar though! Strikes popping up around Brighton will be moving our sort of way.

Died overhead, almost like a winter storm. not consistant.

:( The Weymouth storm looks to have died down..rest will head NE away from here. Looks fantastic around Poole and Bournemouth at the moment I would keep an eye on that one as it moves NE.

 

Edit: As soon as I posted 2 more strikes near Weymouth & Dorchester haha...

It is going mental south of Bournemouth now and the storms SE of London and in NW England and N Wales not at all bad either. The massive gap in the middle should fill up in the next couple of hours (I hope).

Oh I really hope not! We can only see and wait but quite excited about the whole situation tonight. It can always reinvigorate.
