I give up. Showers lose their energy over Bristol then flare up to the NE...*sigh*

Decent gust front on that, now heavy rain

Supacell, the front seems fairly convective, may be worth meeting one in an hour

Also I hear you ended up around these parts Fri night, where did you intercept (must of been same cell which hit me)

2nd cloak of darkness just creeping in now... hopefully the same again (rain and hail), but with a little pinch of something extra - just a little spark or two, or maybe start raining £50 notes, that'll do too. ;)

It is looking increasingly interesting, I am hoping not to have to travel though as would like to see one at home.

Yes, Friday night I met a storm near to Stone in Staffordshire and then after watching it come over I chased along the line of storms on the A50 east from Uttoxeter back to Derby. I arrived in Derby just as a cell there was moving off to the NE.

That rain I mentioned earlier has just about stayed to the east so I have managed to get my lawn mowed. However, a shower built on its W edge in the last 20 minutes or so and it is raining here now. More showers are breaking out in a line in Lincs and these will probably head my way. Not sure about the clear slot ever making it this far but the showers in Lincs look beefier already than the one we are having so might be a bang or two.

A nice gap in the heaviest precipitation heading for Derby.... I guess this is one of the reasons I chase storms and don't rely on them coming to me :p

These trailing trough lines are always the same, intensifying then decaying and repeating that process as they head East but with a NE motion of the rain/storms along them. Also keep watching the Southern tip of the lines for continual development.

Biblical amounts of rain have just fallen here. Didn't hear any thunder though. Very very windy as that pushed through!

Very wet here now and a Beverley streamer appears to have set itself up. If you have NW radar, type in HU17 and look at the last half hour or so and what's developing South of here.

Glad I mowed the lawn when I had the chance!

I see someone else has also captured a line in the sky after a strike, what is this beam of bright light going diagonal in the sky?

I captured this on my phone and used VLC to capture frame by frame behind a window.

Everything keeps going to my NW and I can't understand why? The upper wind is westerly!

That line from S Cumbria to the midlands is intensifiying as it comes up against the warmer temps/cape,also wouldn't rule out those showers in Lincolnshire/NE england have sferics soon.

NE? Clouds are going west to east here especially convective clouds. But, as you say that's probably why I've got nowt, again!
