Got a distant rumble from the South, confirmed by the ATD.

Looks like Bradford and Leeds will cop it from that cell to the W. I'm pretty sure I've heard a couple of rumbles in the last 10 mins, but it's not a direct hit here in south Barnsley.

Large spots, rumbles of thunder and very dark now here. Gonna pee it down soon!

Was looking quite promising wasnt it but the only real thunderstorm atm is just to the NW of Sheffield. I cant hear any thunder though.

The wind has really picked up though, blowing a gale now up here!

The band still looks to be a little bit away so time for things to build as the Pennines lift the air and hopefully help

Light to moderate rain and breezy. sadly no lightning but it's slow moving so may throw a surprise up yet.

You can see the main cell going up to Leeds on this pic ive just taken. I can see the SE edge of it as it goes up NE. Some great skies atm :)

Rather humid and warm here. Sun keeps popping out and nice when it does but myself and the gf seem to be particularly ratty this afternoon so I think it's a sign some stormy weather is on it's way...

Gone very dark to my south west! Quickly ran in to get washing which has dried during the sunny gap. I can hear thunder coming!

Looks like a lot of heavy rain to come for Leeds, theres a much bigger very heavy area of rain coming in behind the storm.

Only chance I have i think is if that line of showers coming out of Wales develop more

I'd say the large extremely heavy cell is about 5 miles too far north on he radar - it shold be missing us, but we've had 7 flash+bangs and extremely heavy rain right now!!

Building up as it moves away from here as per normal. One flash close by and another rumble to the north east of me.
