Dew points are dropping steadily across the Midlands now. We have already dropped to -3.1°C here.

Good luck to those of you in the far west of the region tonight, keeping my fingers crossed for you! It's about time that Telford, Shrewsbury etc had their fair share :cold:

Looking interesting as ever.  I really wouldn't be surprised to see this one produce a reasonable covering for a fair area of the region.  As has been said, the further west you are the greater that probability, but I wouldn't rule out Birmingham and surrounds from a few cms.

Temperature dropping gradually now (2.6 °C) and dew point in negative territory as mentioned. Still think I'm likely to be a bit too far east, but if a shower can just make it over here, tonight could be my best chance of seeing something locally. Haven't seen a single flake IMBY yet, so hoping for that to change at least! Good luck, everyone. :)

Literally having a laugh with this image.

That is literally, 20 miles west of here.

It does look like winds are too northerly, can see the showers to my west

Sods law really winds looked ideal direction all week then at the last minute change to a NNW.

If we don't get anything tonight i'll just return in Spring as you know GFS will be the correct solution for next week.

NMM a bit more hopeful at least for tonight!

Should change to a more NW direction in the next hour or so. Keep the faith, however not holding my breath

2.8oC here at the mo, dew point is -1.5oC. Clear skies, stars are out, quite windy.

The Cheshire Gap is going to have to work overtime to get snow showers down this far, but I'll keep my fingers crossed. :cold:

Yh it did show it a touch more East and intensifying as it moves inland wouldn't surprise me if the whole region got a covering, expect Shropshire and Telford to get between 4 to 10cm. :cold::snowman-emoji:

We still look too far east, best places for this is Shropshire/Herefordshire

I disagree, from what I saw on the latest BBC forecast.

I reckon we should do well here tonight as long as they push this far inland, looks promising and previous experiences of Cheshire gap showers tend to be drawn to Birmingham for some reason

just on raintoday, missing us by a mile

It's the stuff up to the west of Scotland, which is due for here, not the stuff over the Welsh marches. If you run the radar, they look as though they may get a bit further east than forecast. Not missing the west, just a more extensive area
