Looks like it's stalling over Birmingham. Fingers crossed but I think unlikely

Genuinely pleased to see some snow-starved Midlanders getting the white stuff... but please spare a thought for those of us without significant altitude! Doesn't look too good. What do we have to do to get snow without being 200m up, I wonder?

Yh even now it's still marginal it raining here at present but temps and DP are predicted to drop later so still hope for you guys.

Dying out as it hits Birmingham. Disappointed. 3 years since we've had some decent snowfall here. Sucks

Got a covering, though shower decided to disintegrate on its eastern edge, so could have seen more. 

Though as some haven't seen a flake, so far, not going to moan.

Just a pea sized snowball by the morning I'll be happy!  97asl though here so unlikely but fingers crossed

Thanks for the encouragement. I know I'm just whinging, but it's so stupidly hard to get snow here, even by Midlands standards, and when I looked at the radar earlier I really thought that if anything fell out of the sky, it would be snow. In the absence of that, I'd take a really cold, clear night going well sub-zero -- but even that seems beyond us.

It's snowing here. Only lightly mind but it is sticking, so the grounds obviously quite cold.

Actually just checked again and it's stopped. Left a few white speckles is all. Hope we get more throughout the night but not banking on it. Still who knows?
