Looking at these 2 from NMM it seems to be about 3hrs behind schedule. And this from xcweather shows current pressure.

Another epic fail , im officially never again getting suckered in by these hopeless north westerlies/ west north westerlies.

Its easterly  or nothing for me from now on, trouble is easterlies are so bloody rare nowadays .

No slushy mess here yet, if it turns up late it might skip the slush and go straight to rain.  BBC are not so bullish with their snow graphics this morning, quick to fizzle it out.

I HATE THIS WINTER!!  (Raises fist up into the sky)

It is raining!!!  I know it is a second day of Spring but this is an extension of a poor Winter nonsense makes me depressed. I'm guessing even the latest model run just ruled out any snow for today here I wouldn't be surprised at all. Overall this Winter is very dull and definately it is up there on my list the worst Winters that I have experience in my life. It is rubbish it is pathetic and it is boring. Rant over.

The low I think is actually over North Wales. You could see the circulation pass over Ireland on the radar.

I saw that aswell but the xcweather obs say it hasnt formed yet?

Zip here a bit of sleet and a lot of tarmac, utter crudsville, the meto warning looked good for this area, the author has been moved to another department , or back of class.

seems we need at least -10C at 850 to deliver snow these days. We're in serious danger of becoming subtropical (I mean the rest of you are in danger of becoming subtropical, Wirral granted)

Yes its interesting , we do seem to indeed need the uppers to be -10 to guarantee snow, i know Kevin disputes the even larger teapot theory but it does seem to have been a lot milder esp in winter since the 80's, yes there have been exceptions. I wonder if this some sort of warm cycle and it will flip back to cold in the future.

I've been saying this all winter. North-westerly is don't deliver above -10 850s.  Friday maybe different with an easterly undercut.  At least the rest of the region now realises how frustrating it is for us nearly every year.

Logic says it had to cycle back to cold, but who knows? I keep expecting winters to deliver some big cold event, but it never comes.. I often wonder how it's possible.. even sometimes we have decent synoptics, which could be capable of delivering cold and snow, but somehow they never do. I suspect the SST's have something to do with it, they must have been above average for some time now?
