Decent day, lots of sun but the breeze has been a bit strong at times making it feel cool in the shade.

Right on 0.0c atm, chilly dog walk! Enjoying this period of settled weather it can stay as long as it likes, ground drying out nicely.

Sunny again today! There's only been one day out of 5 where it's been cloudy this week, and even then we managed some sunny spells. Long may it last. All the way to September please!!!!!!!

9 degrees now and still sunny but I can see some low cloud lurking over the Irish Sea, hope it stays there!

Sunshine all day but never managed double figures with a max of 9.2c earlier, feeling decidedly cool now @ 5.9c. Don't care how warm/cool it is as long as we can keep the sunny days! Great spell of weather.

Agreed, a lovely day here with almost unbroken sunshine and not a breath of wind so it felt pleasant enough.

unfortunately it looks like cloudy conditions and a colder northerly airstream for the weekend so a reminder if needed that we are still only in March.

I concur - been a great day pretty much unbroken sunshine and light winds. Don't think I saw one cloud, now that is rare for our part of the world.

GFS and ECM are chalk and chesse in FI this evening

GFS keeps us settled with temperatures rising in time with

Some places later in the Easter period perhaps reaching 18c

The ECM at day 8 and 9 had under -5 to -8 uppers and cold

N-NW flow with wintry showers

I will Bank the GFS thank you very much

It was 1.9°C at 03:00,  now it's 5.2°C. Weird. The sun hasn't even risen yet. I mean this sort of thing  often happens here with a wind direction change, but not usually under high-pressure.

copious amounts of hazy mist.... it might just be haze to be honest.. the pollution in the troposphere must be awful today. Looks like India rather than UK.

Not to bad early on considering I'm in the east of the region, a bright start but the forecast is for much more cloud this afternoon to slink down from the north east and on queue it's looking that way now.  Temps a good 50% down on what they were yesterday.

Still weird here. As mentioned earlier, that's strange  4°C rise in temperature this morning before dawn, and then it dropped back a bit. Now it's  already as warm as yesterday 's max  but it's cloudy today.

Has anyone noticed that the regional text forecast hasn't updated for a while or is it just me. Also the website seems to have changed design.

a disappointing days weather, certainly in this part of the region but pretty well as forecast and still much better than the wet wet wet we have had to endure for months.

the moors were on fire around here yesterday so at long last, a drying is starting to take place.

  • April 2024 - Was it that cold overall? A look at the statistics

General perception from many is that April was a cold month, but statistics would suggest otherwise, with the average temperature for the whole month coming in just above the 30 year average for the UK as a whole.
