Flying to Rygge (Norway) for a few days this week, 20cm of lying snow reported from today's flurries. I'm hoping the Aurora will be visible at FL370 over the North Sea as the seats are booked with that in mind.

Big area of showers developing in Irish sea, hills & mountains in North Wales could get their share of snow tonight.

Too good a day to be true, sunshine from the word go albeit a bit nippy.

Still small deposits of snow on grassy areas left in the shade....a bit more on the hilltops... Bit of wind & rain Tues/wed then hopefully quite a decent weekend to come.

Nice to see the snow cover holding on, on the Pennines. They look beautifully white from Manchester.

I hope we get another wintry episode later in the month.

Beautiful day with wall to wall sunshine, chilly with a max of 5.6c but feeling pleasant in the sun with lights winds.

Almost snow free there. Amazing difference with the Pennines.

Yes, it is possible but nothing major. The 6z GFS looked good with cold air coming from Scandinavia next week but sadly the 12z has a boring high lingering for quite some time.

Poor winter for snow! The hills aren't that high around Loweswater in the photos and not really that far away from the coast. A bit more snow further inland, would have been more if that ppn was sat over Cumbria last week but we missed out as usual!

Yes, true. The front stalled over my area for quite a while.

No snow cover left here at the low height of 93 metres but I went to see my brother today who lives in Denshaw at 270 metres and there was still a full decent covering on the grass and some on the pavement.

A beautiful days weather and it felt reasonably warm in the sun.

back home and the last of Friday's snow is still hanging on at the northerly facing front of the house although I'd expect Tuesday's rain will make light work of that.

the higher parts around around here, above about 350 metres still have decent cover though and it looked stunning in the sunshine.
