Unusual to see showers penetrating this far down the country from a northerly but quite a few are showing on the radar.

dry here though with most of them heading through to my west and the Pennines seem to be breaking up any that come down with my name on them.

still, it's good to see and good luck to anyone in the firing line.

Not that unusual for this time of the year.  With the sun getting higher, convection is getting stronger, so this would aid any shower development and shower retention. I have seen showers developed in northerly flows at this time of the year. Late Feb 1993 and 2004 come to mind, where snow showers actually developed through inland convection.

looks like it happened on your timelapse, in say Dec, this setup would be miles colder and clear

Just been out the front and my other half pointed out a thick funnel cloud and the tiniest of snow flakes  falling

Haven't been bothered to go out and watch for showers, as it is 4.8°C so all  rain anyway.

May get a frost but temp keeps fluctuating around 1/2c, mainly clear but some cloud knocking about and still a cold breeze. Chilly for the next few days with some frosts before warming up into next week, may even get into the teens by the end of the week!

Yup, hilly areas round here have a decent covering left karyo, Im going Dovestones resevoir soon :)

I ended up in Buxton. It was awesome up there and I caught a couple of snow showers too.

I thought that would be it for us now but both the 12z and 18z GFS have some snow showers in western Scotland around lunchtime tomorrow which then move to Cumbria and down the region through the evening. Worth watching I guess.

Morning all, and what a nice crisp morning it is. Sun is coming up in the east and grey sky to west. Plenty of thick Snow still on the ground and it is actually getting dusted over as it is currently Snowing in Oldham. Looks like winter for a lot of people is going out on a high.

Missed all the showers overnight, which I'm happy about as I don't want any more rain. Min was  0.9°C, currently 2.8°C

 Make that 3.1°C

Nice to see light snow falling when I opened the curtains and it was enough to give the lightest of coverings but it's brightening up again now and the radar is showing nothing more heading in this direction.

Just a brief light snow shower, intensified briefly with bits of hail/graupel mixed in, now a few specks floating down.  Easing off and radar looks decent for a fine mother's day ahead.
