After all the waiting, lamp post watching, constant radar viewing and post reading, I can finally report that....................I saw nothing too. Actually, I didn't do any of the above because the showers didn't stand a chance of making it to west London. Never mind, there's always April.:pardon:

Light snow shower in Epping at the moment, to add to the slight overnight dusting

Send it this way!! . . . . only 10 miles from you and have seen nothing :(

The radar is peppered with convective show showers down the East Coast so it's going to be a lottery as to who sees some and who doesn't. You might be just a few miles too west.

Yep I can see it going about 5 miles to my east,  I am sure Downham eastwards is seeing plenty. Beautiful cloudless blue sky above me, chilly too.

On my way home from a lovely weekend visiting friends in Oslo, Norway. Had some snow showers that left about a cm. Temperature not risen above freezing and was chilly -10C this morning! Lots of sunshine and little wind so didn't feel that cold.

A dusting on roofs and garden furniture, etc, first thing, but that's all melted now and temp already up to 2.9C. With it forecast to get up to 5C or 6C and the radar already showing the showers coming into EA falling increasingly as rain, I'm resigned to thinking I've experienced 'the best' that this current cold snap is going to deliver. Rising pressure will kill off showers later anyway. I'm not even sure it warrants a 1/10. As snowray noted above, that was a poor effort considering we had -8C 850 uppers over the Region! :nonono:

Well thank god we had 5cm of snow here on the night of January 16th, feeling the pain that others in the region can’t even manage a proper covering from a North Easterly with -8 uppers. It really is a pathetic winter.

Even Midweek has lost its possibility, latest models showing the front stalling and fizzling west of our region, even then I fail how anyone in the midlands can get excited over a few wet snow flakes with most of the snow. Hills in Wales/Derbyshire peaks if at all.

Didn't even manage to get building blocks this far west, let alone potential! I haven't seen a good potentialfall in years.

I agree about this "cold spell" only had one air frost & 2 minutes of microscopic snow. I really did expect more from radar I suppose in future we'll be needing -15C uppers. :wallbash:

At London Waterloo waiting for the train to Havant, Hayling island awaits if I see snow midweek I will be astounded the isle has a similar climate to the far southwest.

A lovely sunny day so can't complain. :)

Had a snow shower last night at home in Haywards heath for about 10-15 minutes, was frosty this morning with the sun out to which was nice.

I still hold a small bit of hope I will see some more settling snow this winter before the end of March (only had a 1cm settled snow this winter so far) You never know this Thursday in to Friday could produce some in are area.

I'm already planning my next road trip to the Arctic circle so I can get my snow fix again :) short of moving it's a great way to guarantee you see plenty of snow

The fact that we had Autumn in Winter, I'd say a very good chance that Spring will deliver Winter, Then Summer brings Spring and so on :)

An extremely light dusting here but seriously cold with it

Much the same here, though rain/hail showers have caused any dusting to disappear.
