    From AWD's post in the previous thread - Remarkable, M4 Eastbound hard shoulder = snow, westbound hard shoulder it'll be raining.

    Unbelievable. It’s like the models are programmed to pick the M4 up!!

    Southwards shift on the 12z Euro4 too, although not quite as much as the French models;

    Brings Gloucestershire, North Wiltshire in with a shout.

    South of the M4 is still forecast to be rain, and very likely to be.  The southwards adjustments by some 12z models bring areas just north of the M4 like Gloucs, North Wiltshire, Oxfordshire into play that weren't really before.

    I know.  Lol.  According to some models, I could cycle a few miles up the road and be in heavy snowfall.

    The PPN/wave on the radar will be the only reliable internet data really now.

    I live in north Yate and I'm considering taking a drive if it's as close as the models suggest.

    The M4 was built after many years of meteorological study. Studying Wikileaks it becomes obvious that the UK Met Office in collaboration with the UK governments determined the best siting of a motorway that would act as a snow shield to the Southern UK, to enable business development in an area that remained snow free during the winter It has proven that over the years,and wintery outbreaks that the UK suffers are now well contained by the M4 motorway.

    It is to be noted that the concept is not new, and was based on Hadrian's Wall, and it's ability to prevent  the outbreak of war from the Scots..
