Not bad at all!

This Evening and Tonight:

Starting cloudy and wet this evening, but the rain will gradually clear away with clearing skies allowing temperatures to fall sharply, giving a risk of ice. Scattered snow showers push in later, with a covering in many places by morning. Minimum temperature -1 °C.

Friday:

Friday will see a mixture of sunshine and scattered hail, sleet and snow showers, with further accumulations of snow in places. The brisk wind will make it feel especially cold. Maximum temperature 5 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Turning wet and windy on Saturday with some hill snow. Sunshine and blustery snow showers returning on Sunday. A few snow showers still on Monday, but plenty of bright spells.

GFS hardly shows anything imby, you can see the subtle but important difference at just 24 hours when you zoom in, by sunday the difference is even more marked..

Well i’d value the text forecast over 1 model output every day of the week.

Widespread snow Tuesday?? Looking interesting.

It only needs to shift abit further south.

If this cleared, then froze, then had snow showers, then there could be issues tomorrow.

It looks to be quite a drop in temps tonight as it’s 8c currently here, expected to be around 1-2c by 5am and not expected to rise much during the day.

My view on tomorrow & the weekend.

Headline - Anything but boring!

Friday

A spell of snow to move through the region early morning, enough to give a covering just about anywhere I would imagine. I can see snow falling right down to sea level but maybe not settling near the coast, once this passes through an afternoon of sunshine and scattered snow showers, more so in the South and more like hail/sleet toward the coast by this stage.

Saturday

A horrible day with wind & rain throughout, maybe some early transient snow on the hills. :bad:

Sunday

The least marginal looking day out of the three as it stands.

Sunshine & snow showers throughout the day becoming more widespread and turning heavier by afternoon/evening! I expect a warning to appear for this too.

All in all plenty to be interested in if you are a cold & snow fan, as it stands tomorrow looks good for quite a few for at least another dusting, Saturday looks down right crap but then Sunday looks to end the weekend very cold with snow on the cards once again.

I hope this helps - as ever it may change as you know our weather and our luck but snow is on the cards guys & girls so good luck! :good::cold:

And this is exactly why I'm getting excited as are many others on here for Mid-month onward.

The trend is growing for a very good cold spell indeed.

Look at this, mother of all blocks with brutal cold building to the East!
