Dull but now 1c so its all a bit slushy with some light rain falling. If sky clears I am sure it would soon freeze again. Hills now very white over 800 feet.

You have to laugh when the Met update the yellow snow and ice warning for this area at 2am with almost 3 inches (depending on ruler location) already on the ground

Brings memories of the August storms when we were already half way up creek in full Armageddon mode then the warnings got issued

Sunday night through Monday morning we were too far East and ended up with the slightest covering O' Snaw, but it did stay covered all day!

Last night! Now we were too far West and only got a further very slight covering which combined is still not enough to measure

But Hey ho its all white!

Big less than chuffed Iness

sorry Innes maybe I jinxed you anyway hopefully won’t be long before the next opportunity and I would love to be involved next time too

It did snow from the blob here.   Started light, then got heavier and back to light again.   All told, around 3cms I think.   Very nice to see and still cold at 0.4c with DP at -0.3c and pressure 992mbs.

I'd happily take that.

That would be the third separate snow fall, during December, for this area. The last time that happened was 2010.

Sixteenth air frost at -3.0C. A centimetre of fresh snow in the early hours in the end - surprised it came as far west as Ayrshire!

Some great pictures on this thread. I had forgotten what snow of more than a dusting looked like.

Not often I get a covering of snow, let alone twice in as many weeks. The precipitation just made it here started dissipating just as it approached but still got a covering here.

Very surprised it made it this far but certainly not complaining

I actually think the setup for Thursday snow looks more favorable than last night!

Lovely day in NE Fife. Plenty of sun and little wind. Currently 5c/1c. If I can't have snow this is a good substitute!

Yes Shugster, but only just. There's half a cm of snow out the back but a full cm of road salt out the front. I don't know what the council was expecting, snawmageddon possibly, but it didn't happen. Still, it's a beautiful, bright, sunny day and pretty close to my idea of winter perfection.

Temperature 2.9deg.C up from a minimum of -2.2deg.C at midnight, humidity is 86%, no wind whatsoever, pressure is 997.8hPa rising slowly, there's been 0.2mm of precipitation today and the sky is clear and blue.

Love seeing all the snow photos from further south. We had a decent covering last night on Deeside but its seen a thaw throughout today.

Currently 3.1c, DP 1.6, pressure steady at 1000hPa and 0.25mm drizzle in the last half hour.

Depressing watching the snow clouds run down the coast tho

oooh, where do you take them?

Stayed local. Baberton Golf Club and then round to Clovenstone as there's a great bit for our youngest.
