Light snow here now but it's not settling at all. Temp up to 2.5c

It's a lot further north than forecast that's for sure. Need to hope we get the good heavy stuff tomorrow afternoon then we might see it stick

Always likely wasn't it, they don't seem to get that it rarely snows on the east coast from a battleground situation where the uppers become marginal and predominately the wind blows off the sea. Just looked at the uppers for tomorrow on the GFS and they go positive sure they were -5 or so yesterday.

It’s not necessarily higher, it’s the wrap around of the easterly winds that is feeding participation for us now. I think some of us will be in for a surprising couple of Cm’s this evening. Crazy weather right now.

Some pellets now, almost like hail. Snow did come heavier though and just starting to settle but it's still pretty slushy

Heavy 'drizzle' of snow here in Mytholmroyd......the precipitation looks backed up to the North Sea as 'rain' but readily seems to turn wintery once forced up the eastern slopes of the Pennines?

Orographic lift comes in to play with moisture piling up against the pennines as the wind will be a stiff Easterly creating a snow shadow west of the Pennines.

Stopped here now. Already thawing road is clear again
