Two areas of interest

One big shower over Blackpool heading towards Manchester

Another area of showers over N Wales heading west to Cheshire

Here some the sun... Hopefully we don't see too much of a thaw

Looking at the direction, that large shower currently over Morecambe Bay should hit here unless of course the Bowland  Fells kill it or it changes direction at the last minute.

I know within the next hour.

I’ve got my eye on that too. Just been out with the hounds and it’s stunning!

Any view that includes St Saviours and the park looks great, summer or winter but conditions at the moment are fantastic for being out and about.

just a shame the church is derelict now☹️

Yes this one looks a little different as the wind has a little more of a westerly to it. . Fingers crossed it follows a path like this.

Light snow shower. Woke up too see fresh snow has fallen over night albeit not a lot - topped up the snow still around and gave a new covering to cleared surfaces. That's 4 consecutive days of snow on the ground now, crazy, even if if the amounts have not been record breaking I'm struggling to think of a winter outside of 09/10 where snow had lasted this long around here.

I think were just getting the light stuff from the Blackpool shower and miss the good stuff as usual.

Temperature sensor says 1 degree at present, we have grey leaden skies. Snow beginning to melt off a few surfaces. BBC was saying Kendal was still at -4 degrees at 9am, mmm not sure about that..

The front over Scotland is moving SW to N Ireland, rather than south and it further west than projected, it then swings back SE, could have something snowy this evening, it is making very slow progress.

The last few days have been a great example of how nowcasting comes into play when forecasting, sudden short term developments making mockery of models. The front over Scotland a case in point, was meant to be further east and should have dropped down much more quickly than now expected.

Looks like southern parts of the region once again doing best for shower activity. Cumbria not best placed, we do well when its more of a westerly or better still south westerly, but rare to have snow showers from these directions.

Turned misty here, 0.7c, looks like the showers won't make it this far inland unfortunately

Showers losing their energy as they move inland now. A dry day in store for most.

All light rain/sleet now

Looks like it was mostly hail/ice pellets that fell earlier this morning looking around. Strange.

I did set my alarm, but snoozed it. Couldn’t be bothered being both disappointed and tired haha

Looks like it took the breaking up and dying out option.
