Radar looks good to scrap something.. on next 20 min then maybe the other moderate prec over that is over the Stoke area now seems moving NW direction as it pivots..

I think there are gonna be a few miles in it. I reckon it’ll reach the southern arm of the M60 just . Could be a case of Northenden and the Airport getting a dusting but here in Withington it stays dry.

Looks like some moderate precipitation is reaching the Knutsford area , further north than I thought. Can it make it here ? @raul_sbd @Dkeane3 any thoughts ?

I predicted Knutsford as the northern limit last night! Not often I’m even close to being correct!

Potential for an hr of light snow, the heavier precip. at Stoke will probably pivot away from us

Still snowing here but very small flakes. Nothing sticking much.

I think saying sneakily is a bit harsh. They've reacted to the situation on the ground and issued an update ahead of the normal update time. If they hadn't done this, people would have been criticising them for not having done this.

I’ve been heavily critical of their frankly disgraceful forecasting the past week. Most members of this forum have done it much much better. They need to really improve, those warnings are a useless feature too.

Same here we need the intensity they are seeing mid Staffordshire southwards for any covering more than a dusting. It is expected to briefly intensify around 12pm so we’ll see I suppose. V light snow flurries here currently northern extent of the snow seems to be Wilmslow to Macclesfield/ Buxton to the east and Liverpool to the west.

Very fine snow stopped here in Macc, barely a fairy cake dusting.  Like you say intensity further south.

I'm in work at the moment the radar shows moderate precip but I can't see snow falling from the window.

Edit I can now!

This was earlier for us. Still snowing  and forecast looking promising until mid evening. Minus 2, so it's that nice fluffy stuff.

Looks like whatever we get will be light, heavier stuff will be slightly further west

Went for another Wirral drive, was thumping down in Birkenhead/Bromborough and sticking well. Back home a lot lighter and wet, glad I dragged the Mrs for that drive as it's eased the snow craving somewhat lol. We are now upto 2/10.
