Snow grains here haha- I’d rather not bother! Does anyone know if this may get a bit heavier and actually lay a bit?

U may catch the heavier batch which is travelling over chichester havant portsmouth.. im in netley so just missing the heavier patch. An hr flurry laying on shed decking etc as so cold.

Thanks @AWD. Really wish I'd taken up the winter sale offer for NW Xtra now! What is the the UKV showing for today/tmrw?

Predominantly dry, a few snow flurries blowing around in eastern and northern parts of the region.  Very cold, exasperated by a noticably bitter wind;

Missed out on a proper dusting of snow by about 5 miles last night, just trace amounts to be found this morning.

Some small flakes whirling about in the wind out there in the past hour, gradually increasing in number.

The 'Hampshire Triangle of Radar Mystery' is in full effect now. Seems to be something heavier hiding within it. Always keeps me guessing until the last 10 minutes in a NE to ENE flow!

A few flakes blowing in the wind here.

The wind direction today is perfect for a game of what's in the Dean Hill gap.

Had a slight covering here, blowing around a bit. Still trying to snow a bit now. Hopefully a streamer sets up over this way later but not holding breath.

Strange things going on on the local BBC forecast. First thing this morning it was showing scattered light showers, then the showers suddenly disappeared all together and now it's showing more frequent heavy showers.

Are they suddenly thinking those showers to the east are going to make it further over or have they got on the sauce early.

Some small flakes intermittently blowing around in Poole. Blink and you miss them though.

Amazing how showers can make it all way a cross England and Wales crossing welch mountains but can't make it over relatively flat ground to the west country!

Might be worth keeping an eye on the east when the sun gets high from 1 ish. It might help with intensity coming off the sea then making it help travel further west. But that's a big straw clutch.

Really liking the ECM run. Gives slider snow events to south Thursday, Monday and middle of next week. Let’s see

Worth noting, to manage expectations, the 0z EC Det was one of the colder possible solutions, as demonstrated below;

The blue line being the EC Det.  Not discounting it, it's definitely a possiblity that we can all hope for, just showing the uncertainty (large spread) from the weekend onwards.

Oh don’t worry I’m not getting my hopes up as I’m yet to even see snow but I’m hoping it comes off

Most probably the latter mate.  I can't see us, unfortunately, being in line for continuous snow showers all day.

You can tell how biased they are towards the EC model in that forecast, with the temperatures they show for next weekend.

No ice day today then, temp up to 1c already.

Still keeping the faith we will see some meaningful snow...... I'm trying to be optimistic!

Same here in Pucklechurch, they have me down for heavy snow all day tomorrow but I dont see that on any other output.

Crept above freezing here too. It’ll be hard to get an ice day when the sun is out now.
