Arome gives an idea of the areas at risk of a patchy dusting tonight.

Kudos to the Arome. Hoping something develops here!

looking at the radar, there seems to be a rotation of precipitation, going on over the top of us? maybe a small low has formed, pepping up the snow potential?

Would even describe it as light to moderate now, as quite a few medium sized flakes mixed in the frizzle.

Cars now white. Interesting to compare with yesterday where large flakes just melted away.

Nice little fall now. I can only assume that the moisture brought to us from the west is hitting the colder air and hence causing the snow. Wind is a moderate SE.  Temp now 0,9C,but the DP is way down at -4.0C due to the drier air today.. RH is only 54%.

Still going.,,

Seems to be coming up from the South East and turning to snow over the East MIds into Bham.

I watched the end of the West Ham vs Liverpool game and it had started raining steadily at the end.

It must be this travelling NNW on the wind, and turning as it hits the colder air mass.

FGS dont tell the southerners!!

EC is an improvement, but not keen on the cold being pushed back, increases the uncertainty, cold now due Sun/Mon, it was Fri/Sat

To be honest I cannot see February producing anything significant every time the cold gets pushed back let’s see the cold was supposed to be first it was early Jan then midland then end of Jan and now it was early February now we talking about mid Ferb by the time kollie comes to our shores it will be almost summer.

Well, there is a little bit of hope.

If you look at the wind direction, the blob of precipitation just over towards the wash, it may get blown back this way later in the night ,assuming it doesn't die out?

Really have to say now that any significant snowfall just is not going to appear here now, pointless getting over animated over the very slight risk of a couple cm's of slushy wet snow. Nothing has fallen today.
