And Bumbling Boris stepped out from No. 10 and behold the rain did stop and skies did clear and the Angels sang.

Anyway a day of Showers here so the storm not having much impact so far. Some heavy rain over Wales and if that comes this way that may change things somewhat.

An absolute deluge here in Manchester, I've never seen such a fast-moving Bridgewater Canal and I'm downstream from all the locks. The last hour of rain has been biblical!

Edit: some of the white stuff getting mixed in now, wasn’t quite expecting that...

2 severe flood warnings for Didsbury - interesting text, which includes advice about lockdown restrictions

"Intense rainfall from Storm Christoph has resulted in rising river levels on the River Mersey at Didsbury today, on 20/01/2021. Consequently, there may be a risk of overtopping at Didsbury flood basin in the early hours of Thursday morning, on 21/01/2021. Evacuation plans are now underway for local areas.   If you are asked to leave your home and need to stay with family or friends due to flooding, you will not be in breach of coronavirus laws and no legal action will be taken. If you or a family member have been asked to self-isolate due to Covid-19 Government guidance or if you are clinically extremely vulnerable, you will be contacted directly and Covid-secure accommodation will be provided."
