little blustery flurry just now, dusting of powdery stuff coating the roofs and grass, actually on most surfaces including the gravel road which it normally struggles on at first. stopped now but feel a bit better now ive seen something settle at all

At last the snow finally settling on roofs, grass and cars for the last 30 mins. Been a long wait but hopefully will start to settle everywhere soon

Heavyish band of sleet in greenwich right now. Feels very wintery even though ground is still very wet. For those in london - the urban heat island is definitely making a difference. 0 snow by the cutty sark. Definitely worth the trip to the park. Pictures as of right now!

Lots of icicles forming. Takes me back to the 80s! 

Roads turning white now with some of the heaviest snow we've had all day. Prepared for the inevitable problems with motorists getting stuck on our little hill and needing to provide assistance

5 min drive up the road into Herne!  Crazy stuff with just that slight elevation, can see why it's so bad back in my home town!

Been snowing lightly all day here, barely a slushy covering where I live, even on the cars, although the temp must've dropped as is is starting to settle a little. However, the other side of town (higher up) has a bit of a covering, nothing severe but enough to look pretty! Been out and taken a few photos

Bit of a disappointment, but its still snowing lightly so its nice to look at!

Looking up the estuary from my house the colour of the sky is different to whats above me, I know its dusk but this is different it looks stormy

Snow has calmed down here, I think I’m just out the narrow heavier band now. Still small flakes coming down lighter, I’ve got about 7cm on the grass now

Signs of settling here too after almost 8 hrs of snow falling (!)

Bodes well for whatever falls overnight - Met Office seem to think lot's of snow showers

Well after a breif tease the road is still yet to white up. It's good to have snow but it's not the same when tarmac and bricks are just wet. They really must be warm considering it's been below zero for hours now!

Can concur. Sledging fun at cherry orchard earlier but a bit on the muddy side!

Air temp is dropping a little, could drop as much as 2 degrees in the next 3 hours. That will be key. 
 

The drop will freeze up the laying water and then even light snow continuing as it has been will be a good amount come morning.

Yes, the sky has a certain mood to it right now. 
The lighting has changed and it now looks like a snow day.
