Hmm... feeling quite humid today - 84%. 20.2c with a stiff breeze.   Sun breaking through now though so we will see what the rest of the day brings.

"A guid drouth day"  relating to good for drying the washing I believe?   At least it is always the topic of conversation amongst the women in the Co-op queue!🙄   So off to test the theory and hang the washing out!   Marks out of 10 around 5pm.😄

Nearly a stonkingly perfect day as its currently 23c with abundant sunshine.  The big problem is that its also blowing a hoolie, really gusty SW wind which is also threatening to bring in some showers.  Hopefully the wind will die down by the evening.

Returned home to 23c and solid blue skies.

However not such a nice day up Meall Nan Tarmachan. Drizzle that only got heavier above 800m. Winds gusting 50/60 which strengthen. Bailed on the tarmachan ridge but got the munro in

Blowy here too but feeling warm in the sunshine. Bin day here so lots of bins blow over in nearby streets.  Max of 22.3C and still 20.9C now.

The trees, the trees, thems mooove. That's how they describe a breeze in Paisley, and indeed, a breeze it was that made a good fist of trying to move some air through the ward. My daughter visited with tales of wind, rain and coldness up on the farm, so she was surprised when her car thermometer said 20⁰C once at the hospital. The duffel coat would have looked out of place - if we hadn't been in Paisley.

I have my own tree now. You hang bags of I.V. drugs it, 2 currently to combat my latest infection. Slow process.

So, when do we start placing bets on @Blitzen's snaw blawr roaring into action? I mean year, not month, obviously.

A muggy night with a low of 14.2C. Hate that. Waking up with a sweaty chest and lying on top of the covers.

After a nice drop of rain two nights ago we had a day yesterday of strong winds and sunshine which dried it all up again. About to start a second cut of silage in some fields .Its mostly red clover because of its deep rooting so still getting moisture .

Currently dull breezy humid and 20c

Cooler today, 17c and very cloudy.

Already on 20mm for the month. Interestingly our average rainfall in August here is 110mm which supports my point that the second half of summer here is mixed.

Infact for the year as a whole there is a clear pattern due to the jet stream.

October - Jan = Monsoon (150mm per month)

Drops from Feb (110) to just 70 in April. May and June 80ish, 91 July as we head towards the wet half of the year.

Speaking of wet, a further video from yesterday which I found quite amusing. Trying to get a jumper on up a hill is tricky as my friend found out!

Oh God, not again!   To be fair, it would have come into its own at the beginning of last year had I not done my shoulder in!  It would have had around 18" to shift!

ALL IS NOT LOST!! - (although admittedly it is close.)🙄

Weird day. Started off dull with thick cloud, went to sunshine, went to wind, now torrential rain. 🤪

Lovely few hours at Balmedie yesterday... will probably be our last visit as not going to be driving all the way from Grantown on Spey as beaches closer on the north Moray coast..

Raining here now aswell and a weather warning on my weather app thingy... apparently its gonna be wet.

Asking those members that have weather stations, looking to get something thats going to give good outside information etc and lowest overnight temps dew points etc etc.. i dont particularly want to be climbing ladders to attach bits to the roof of the new place but will do if its necessary 😉

There is a section on the site that discusses weather stations though it maybe hasn't been active recently. I have  an Oregon Scientific in a rather battered Stevenson screen in shade which I use for my records and also an Accurite( maybe not so accurate😀
Unless you need accurate wind speeds you  won't have to get onto the roof.

A cool feeling day out of the sunny spells with a max of 16c and a fresh westerly wind.

Some brief showers of rain loitering around until teatime, thereafter much clearer skies came in.

Absolutely gorgeous evening, really notice the lengthening nights now.

Aye, bedroom windows had condensation on the inside this morning so must have been cold during the night (5.5C here). Its turned into not a half bad day though. Maxed out at 15.4C which felt fine in the light winds and frequent sunshine. Showers around but we have largely missed them, only really being briefly clipped by the occasional one.

Something warmer again from Sunday onwards?
