Its rare we get 6 consecutive days of snow cover in low lying Gloucester, but it was looking gorgeous in the lunchtime sunshine earlier.

Back to freezing now and falling quickly. Seems it'll be the last time it does this for now at least.

Little streamer building in the Channel?

Edit: Higher res models show it into Wales later this evening but looks like some of it might land further East to me

For what will probably be the last really cold night of this spell it's probably the coldest of the lot for this time of day. Already -3.6°C.

It didn’t look at all flare like. I’m not sure of the range of military flares? And the nearest military base/training is Salisbury plain.. that is 50 plus miles away from where I was near burnham

That’s cool! I love all this kind of thing.. I used to be a paranormal investigator (haunted places), but always love anything on the paranormal spectrum

Car suggested 2 deg C but thermometer in the shade was -0.8 at 2 pm, so quite possibly another ice day in Warminster. Lovely walk round Shearwater (frozen). Where the sun has been able to get to it, the snow has gone. In the shaded parts it’s almost as it was on Sunday. Amazing cold spell, just could have done with a bit more snow at the start.

Streamer setting up from the Bristol Channel - snow showers expected in next hour.

Would like to see it slightly further south, but yeah, could get an overnight dusting.

On radar looks like it might head slightly north/north west of our region. Hey-ho. Looks to early Jan for next chance or even later, in the Winter🤔

Not quite as cold now as earlier, it didn't drop that much more and now it's gone back up a bit to -2.8°C.

Lots of ice out there this morning. Had a few heavy showers before daybreak and turned everything into an ice rink. Multiple accidents reported in the area !

Even without going outside its visibly above freezing, the first time in days, what a cold snap that was.

Temp risen to 3c; the heavy frost that's been on roofs and lawns here is starting to melt for 1st time in nearly a week.

I noticed a very heavy shower coming into Dorset. Is this snow as it bumps into the cold air?
