Today's peak temperature here reached 22.8°C at: 17:07, a very pleasant day, wife sat in the garden drawing, whilst I fought my way through the tomatoes and cucumbers , oh and Cucamelons.

Need to start the wind down, and cut everybody else's hedges that have grown into my castle ground over the summer.

Beach Bar is busy tonight

Morning All, very much like last weekend the heavy rain is 30 miles to our west. The overnight low of 12.2°C at: 01:30 has risen to 12.9°C with RH94% and light air movement from the ENE.

The sky has that ‘storm coming’ look about it this morning.,. But of course this is the UK so that’s not gonna happen!

We saw some larger bats last Saturday, walking back through the fields at dusk. 

Not sure if they're Serotine, or Daubenton’s Bats.

They were near water, so possibly Daubenton’s. 🦇

Had some heavy rain here earlier, and the radar suggests more on the way.

Not obviously in the Met forecast, although the CAPE for this weekend was always forecast to be quite high, though perhaps not this early.

By 'eck we just caught the eastern edge of this mornings rain, norra lot but enough just to dampen the dust.
