Absolutely epic rain here! Cannot even see the end of the garden! Very surprised there hasn't been a warning for these showers- the road conditions are horrendous 😬

You don’t say….

England has had its wettest March since 1981, with Wales and Northern Ireland also seeing one of their wettest Marches on record.

And though it’s not been the coldest of months, with all the cloud and rain, it hasn’t exactly felt very warm either.

I thought the Met Office did say heavy rain at time from this little annoyance as it passed, certainly their earlier warnings were more specific in periods of heavy rain and gusty winds. Bands of heavy rain associated with Mathis still spin across southern England today..

Meanwhile down here it's that  annoying type of rain, neither here nor there..

Morning All, a fresh month and the weather is still having the last laugh, raining again, ah well, I'm sure we will appreciate it in July, when they talk about the drought restrictions.

Meanwhile a break in the cloud last night allowed a local photographer to catch the aurora, with this shot. Just goes to show patience does pay off when looking for such events.

Too much cloud this morning to hopefully catch a glimpse of sun, although fingers crossed for some chance later today, if the narrow band of rain dissolves!

The overnight low of 2.7°C  has risen this morning to 9.2°C, with a cool breeze in from the NE.

Morning,  134mm rain total for March here, smashed previous March record of 83mm (only 8 years with weather station) in 2019. Another 9mm since midnight, band just cleared.  Hopefully the last for a good few days...no golf again as course closed, second consecutive Saturday😣

Meanwhile once the rain had finally cleared at 14:35, some nice warm sun, time to hit the garden, as it so moist and easy to dig (but heavy)..A (genuine) high of 13.0°C at: 15:43, a recent light shower bade farewell to Mathis, (finally).Could contain: Chart, Plot, Map, Atlas, Diagram, White Board

The recent passing shower as it headed out over the channel..
