Hi all, very spectacular looking at the IOW cams on YouTube.... found this one with sound too.

Stay safe down there

Cheers Glenn

Lots of flashes visible from the Cherbourg cell now that the IOW system has largely passed through.

Have seen a monster CG down towards Southampton way! Storm moving off the Cherbourg peninsula is producing some faint flashes from up here now too, that's the one I'm keeping an eye on now.

Been out all day, so missed the conversation here - I presume storms are still expected to drift NE overnight?

Apologies.

looking at the lightning detector, it appears to have exploded into life with 400+ Strikes per minute. Reports from Southampton indicate a huge meso with pictures of several funnel clouds/possible tornado touchdown in the Eastleigh area as the supercell came ashore.

better?

Absolutely incredible evening, managed to get some nice captures, but the clear patch is coming over now

Just shooting another time lapse, which I think is going to be epic!

Another massive CG down towards Portsmouth/Southampton way! Quite prolific lightning now visible from the Cherbourg storm too!

Well done to those on the S Coast! Epic photos.
Keeping my eye on the recent cluster of showers that seem to be forming over N London area, as well as the stuff having just entered Hampshire etc.
