Whilst I'm waiting for tomorrow night mainly, whoever did this is a genius ( I found it on Twitter, its not me)

A lot of shower activity has cropped up within an our over the channel and S england, also we have initiation over the Brest peninsula.

Edit:there must be some localised flooding from that storm/s in NW Wales as there look to be quite stationary.

A nice dry day with sunny spells for Reigate, said Mr Met Office.

So I did my washing and hung it out - only to see lines of showers marching in.  How much tax do we pay these folks? I should have taken some time to make my own forecast today.

What model is that? That looks rather odd for surface-based cape?

Just on the phone to my dad, he lives in Pentrefelin, North Wales, I could hear it lashing on the conservatory and the constant booming, he had to end call as he shouted "We've been hit"!!!!!

This is half way between Criccieth and Porthmadog, he said its the most violent storm he's seen there in the 7 years of him and his mrs living there.

Hope they are OK. Sounds a fantastic storm but no fun when damage occurs. Let us know how they get on please.

Definitely cannot be surface-based CAPE, even if says on the title of the chart, that’s odd…

He rang me back 5 minutes later after he'd gone around the houses electrics checking, everything looks ok, must of been a very very close hit.

It's still going strong and has been for hours, gutting as never a good storm when I go up there especially with their view over the hills to the coast!

Latest UKV model going around my Storm shield, nice to see they've added it to the Models as well now.
