Just drove back from Penzance to Cheltenham.. and punched through a fairly lively affair between Exeter and Bristol. The M5 was pretty bad.. albeit very quiet and easy to navigate.

Arrive home and it's just caught up with me. Time to enjoy.

When I was stood in the stiff, chilly E’ly breeze earlier on this evening I knew there would be no chance up here.

Yea I agree. Oh well, maybe next time. Only 2 years nearly since last time we had thunder.

Could be worse for those who haven't seen a storm (yet) tonight. You could have driven 150 miles away to see nothing

I don't think anyone else is that insane.

Haha, good luck for July and next year's storm chasing. Although if you pass in July there will still be about 2 months left this year .

Well as is the case 110% of the time the South get all the good stuff and by the time it reaches its just a damp squib. I genuinely thought tonight may of been different. Silly me.

Lol, definitely not! Though they're building a high rise right in my NLC viewing spot here, so that's gonna scupper things for me too

Probably the same high rise that's going to scupper my view of the Solstice

I was just going to post the same, the cells coming up from the SE are looking slightly angrier and it`s coming up to Sunrise

Anything could happen in the next half hour

The heavy rain just woke me up, my gutter is leaking or spilling over. No thunder though.
