Sat up the garden and we have some brightness now.

My webcam is pointing towards the direction of any developments.

I feel like the areas in the black will have a chance to have some storms pop of later at like 3-9pm

Had a micro-shower a short while ago from that line running along EA/Essex, now into London - very potent for nothing more than a speck on radar, with some large, soft hail-like drops.

Lightning frequency really beginning to pick up along the cluster of storms/downpours spiralling up across Hampshire/Sussex/Kent at the moment.

Got everything crossed.

Just heard a faint distant rumble from the storm to the east of Brighton.

I don’t know if Eastbourne will see more lightening but probably a lot of rain

First rain from what's developing east of London. Moderate, large raindrops. Hoping it builds to instability quickly.

Lots of weather avoidance in the London TMA today. Aircraft all over the place.

Very Florida feel about it in Zone 1

Very overcast here today. But not got anything in the forecast.  Not surprising after all the rain last night

I hope we see something out west this afternoon. Here in Torquay we've had full sun for 3 hours now and temps are up to 24C. Cloud is going up all around me.

First pic looking west, second looking east.

Something of a wall of cells now approaching from the north east - hopefully going to clip me. The Southampton one is among them.

Plenty of heavy / torrential rain here in Eastbourne - comes in waves. The odd rumble of thunder but no visible lightning. Some impressive cloud formations ahead of the rain - clouds were moving, rotating and contorting as the rain approached.

Friend of mine has reported thunder in Southampton, although does not appear on the detector.

I can agree I also am in Eastbourne and mental amounts of rain and loud thunder and the lightning is getting closer

Everything so far today has formed just the wrong side of my location and as such has left me looking longingly out the window as it moves away.

Still plenty of hours left in the day though, so everything crossed for later this afternoon/evening
