Some intense flashes and impressive CG on the Brighton webcam.

Currently just distance rumbles hear, now, occasionally being masked by the first planes into Heathrow.

Yes. But I do wish they'd turn the camera around a bit. Who wants to see a grotty pier?!!

Is it still maintaining its intensity?  I'm contemplating waiting for it to reach me near Sevenoaks x

Currently under a beast of a storm just east of Shoreham, absolutely a direct hit with some serious thunder and lightning!

Sorry, don't usually make these despondent, downtrodden kind of posts, but... what a deliciously funny bust so far for Bexhill!

Tonight really had an air of something memorable to come, but so far I've seen some very dim and distant flashes and arguably 2 barely audible rumbles (could've been something else that my desperate, storm-starved brain clung onto). Been up virtually all night in anticipation, so will be wrecked tomorrow with nothing to show for it! Ah well, all part of the fun of storm watching I guess!

Starting to hear the thunder from that beast to my S now. I may hold off from driving now as I think my view is good enough already! Plus I’d end up being late for work knowing me!

Wow that Peterborough storm really is active! Seeing very high up flashes every few seconds. My camera is dead though sadly because of a corrupted sd card. Got my time lapse camera on it though.

I'm on my last legs waiting for this (insert swear word) storm to arrive from the Channel. It's nearly here. If anything special happens, I'll let you know tomorrow. G'night.

Now I’m up to start getting ready for work. Literally I’m in the only gap in a line stretching a hundred miles or so.

As I’m writing, bright flash but fairly dismal thunder. Better than nothing lol 😂

And another!

Now we’re sucking diesel 🥳

The aforementioned gap might be starting to fill!

Pretty lively here just along in Saltdean.

Started an hour ago with constant C C lightning, then the wind roaring in ahead of the MCS!

Biblical rain for twenty minutes and the sky just constantly flashing.

A couple of C.G strikes observed but the intensity of rain made any photography impossible.

No overhead thunder, just a pretty constant low rumbling heard above the wind.

Storm rating 6/10.

Hey Netweather Community, I haven't been active on this platform in a while. I'm currently on holiday - Just next to Battle and I've been tracking this storm all day yesterday and last night. It was on a perfect collision course but now in Brighton 😞

I'm just watching distant flashes. Not very exciting.

I do have some hope for later on for some potential storms forming later on in the morning for the area around Battle/Hastings, as the Met Office and Weather Channel think that it'll build up over the channel and hit by 11.

So far though been a huge flop for me. Hopefully, some others are getting a good storm?

It should be with you shortly, been sat at the top of ditchling beacon for the last 30mins watching it move inland, it's been pretty memorable here tonight.

Got woken up to this unexpected storm, I hadn’t really been keeping up with the weather due to recent disappointments. Plenty of lightening, mostly sheet from my vantage point but a few sky-crawlers and a couple of CGs.

Here’s a snippet of what I got:

Pretty much non stop rumbling thunder and lightning for the past hour, nothing too spectacular though, the main intense rain and flashes is about 10miles to the east of here
