Storms and Convective discussion - 1st August 2022 onwards

If ICON is correct I can expect 2 hours of thunderstorms this evening. However, I don't expect it is. Would be nice though as I am sitting today out and not chasing.

They were my friends photos but we work together but kindly let me share, I have about 30+ videos to sort through tryna find the best ones! But that lightning last night was just mesmerising!

Hi folks, well the last few days have been amazing...and i'm talking about all of your storm pics - which have been up there with the best i have ever seen! Not all of us have been lucky enough to have had a storm(s), in my case for sure... but your photos have more than made up for this!!

Keep positive, there's more on the way.... and here's hoping that the next swathe (just approaching the far S/W) delivers...

Does anyone know if the Southampton/Netley area will get some storms tonight? 

Personally I don't think I have good chances, and most of the storms will hit elsewhere.

Hi everyone. I’ve always wanted to go to the coast to watch a storm roll in, so I drove down to Weymouth for yesterday’s show and it did not dissapoint!

Really nice storm torrential rain just moving away to the north-west now. Lightning quite infrequent but some fairly close. 1 CG about half a mile away. Didn’t disappoint.

Looks like there were 2 cells (possibly became supercellular) before they were pulled into the main convective line, I've seen reports from Bonnyrigg and Roslin, not sure if both cells had tornadoes or just the one but here's the map and radar shots
