Not gone below freezing yet. My bit of Sheffield doesn't get much below freezing easily.

It's finding hard here too, last I checked it was still just 0 haven looked since, it's already been -1 at least other nights by now, I'm on the south coast, so we haven't had silly temps, but it's been frosty, and even had a hoar frost this morning.

It's heading towards me too. Just I'm probably about 100 miles too far east, you'll have taken all it's got before it gets anywhere near here 😄

I will send you pics if it comes here. It's gonna be sods law that it misses me too, but at least it gives me an excuse to stay up wrapping these presents!

This pathetic offering sort of sums up our cold spell so far. 😒

Somewhere between Burnham and Weston is gonna be the sweet spot for this I think.

Disappointing night for me. Showers started off with some sleet and wet flakes, then nothing but rain

Soggy and dripping outside - not enough elevation, as things panned out as i expected

Just to put the boot in, Met Office website has heavy snow symbols for my location

Well if the gfs and gem are to be believed by next weekend a warm up, 24-48 hours or more nobody knows. Shame because 3 days back it looked like Atlanta low, battleground snow event for some but now just break down with nothing.

I for one will be happy with a breakdown next weekend. Several days too long IMO!

Been nice to have sun and a few frosty mornings, but watching fivers floating out of my boiler flue and scraping off the car has lost its appeal already.

This spell doesn't look like offering much other than cold, and the old pearlers are on repeat in the office... "it's too cold to snow" and "maybe we'll get a white Christmas after all" etc 🤫

Let's get this pattern shifted and see what happens, it always looked dry, and dare I say boring in terms of surface conditions?

Hopefully we'll get a nice clean long draw easterly later in the season... but only for a few days mind!

Totally agree, unfortunately a frost these days are  about as common as a snowfall 30 years ago, probably why those in the other thread get so excited by the prospects...these days all you seem to get from a cold spell is a void in the oil tank!
