Sheild may be the form horse between Marple and the M6 buddy. Until the wrap around.

Should get really heavy here soon judging by reports. Looking at METARs; heavy snow at Shawbury and  still snow at Anglesey which is a bit surprising. WRF had it very marginal there.

Hoping that at the top of Ashton-u-Lyne on the ridge of Hartshead Pike i might get lucky today and not be affect by the snow shield.  My daughter is nearly 11 now and never had snowfall here enough to go sledging at 200m asl crazy when you think about it!

It isn’t virga outside mine and Kevin’s window! Still generally light snow here though, verging on moderate at times

Im in Stockport right now and there is 0 precip.

Just been out with the dog on the tops. Snow starting to drift across the fields already as it’s so dry. 
Slow increase in flake size.

Snowing quite heavy here but just not cold enough to stick, elevation is going to be the saving grace for people today.

Heavy here in mossley hill liverpool.sticking to grass and cars and now slowly to walls and a few pavements. Spoken to the Mrs as she lives in caergwle near Wrexham and it's heavy there and she has a good covering from the last hour.

Can confirm, let's hope this shadow doesn't hinder any chances of a good fall.. my only concern is that the ground temperature isn't cold enough. Currently hovering around 1-2C
