New warning out for Sunday.

Don’t bother reading it unless you live 400m asl.

All bets are off for me then I'm not even going to try and predict what might happen next. all I'll say is if the 0°C isotherm has indeed gone north of us then rain and ice pellets this afternoon but more precip later on which should be snow again by then. Otherwise this morning's band was just too light and now freezing level is too high.

Rain has just turned to ice pellets and the largest flakes of the day

An inch or so accumulated here, although the cover on the road has mostly disappeared/turned to slush. Melting faster than it is accumulating now, temp 1C, dp 1C. It's snowed fairly heavily since around 8:00, now turned showery and sleety. It's more than I was expecting so far.

Yep it’s really wet snow. It bodes well for better timing later when the cold undercuts once more

Yeah okay I think I've worked it out. We are about 3–5 hours ahead of schedule 0° iso is over us now. Snow/ice pellets mix south of the Mersey snow to the north of it.

It settled on the grass earlier but the rain has washed everything away now, pretty disappointing yet again for this part of the country

No shield here today, has snowed all morning, now clearing, puddles everywhere.

No increase on the 5cm here despite pretty heavy snow at times. Just a little too warm at the moment even at 200m! 0.8c now, snow stopping.

All eyes on later afternoon and overnight now for the main event here (hopefully!)

Obviously traveler snow as it can’t settle tbh it’s just a  miserable  day at sea level

No wonder they lost the BBC contract. People on this forum do a better job at issuing warnings than they do

The amber warning doesn't begin until 1500 in these parts. So far here it's been as expected - about 2 inches on cold surfaces with the initial push, now we wait for the pivot and resumption of precipitation focussed upslope Peak District/pennines and those close to the ridge. Further west there will be a shadow as always.

I’m more referring to the Welsh warning which started an hour ago for significant snowfall. Unless things change later, it’s egg on face. They have all of their timings wrong too I feel.

No snow here. But can see a covering on wildbank hill now that the cloud base has risen.

For a front that’s meant to give large accumulations it looks very weak on the radar, even if it stalls unless of course it’s meant to intensify.

I think we can ignore any large depths now even for the hills
