Train of cells to the south of Whitchurch looks really mean. Can see flashes every so often but can’t get to a good vantage point.

@Eagle Eye On a serious note, have you noticed how the mass of the thunderstorms that started from the west is now interacting with the system from the south? Is this part of the warning, do you think? I have noticed the storms are moving slower and in somewhat a different direction, or not moving at all.

Pretty sure its why the warning is there yeah.

Gone very dark here. Looks like squall line inbound.

Clearer skies out West leading to yet more convection, seeing the top of a cell just to the south of Shrewsbury i think that popped up out of nowhere in the space of 5 minutes. No lightning on it yet though.

My dad messaged me that the sky in south cambs looks like Independence Day.  Sadly he’s too inept with technology to share a photo.

Areas of interest in red, sorry for the bad editing skills.

Worth keeping an eye on, probably for rainfall amounts.

Yea they are just to the north of me. I can hear them and it's raining here still. I'm literally right on the edge now though

I’ve lost the nice view to the north as a load of mist has suddenly come in off the sea. It was looking nice still before then though as it has done for a lot of the afternoon. Still dry here.

That's just rolled through here too, gone quite cold all of a sudden and wind picked up, view to the north has disappeared. wonder if this will help fuel or kill the storms inland?

Disappointing day here as everything has just been out of reach to the north, but good to see so much activity countrywide from home grown storms.

Well! , Blackwood SE Wales. Nothing was showing on the radar for rain.
but it was getting darker and darker - looking out to my west I could see clouds lowering and rotating, - then there was some thunder to my East and it  started to spot with hail.
with in a couple of minutes the lightning was around 2x a minute, and the hail started falling violently. - For around 10minutes this continued before seemingly starting to die down, leaving roads looking like streams with hail, looking like polystyrene flowing through them.

Now it has died down, the skies are brighter, but loud thunder can still be heard, threatening another storm.. or maybe dissipating into the evenings hours.. we shall see.

Been watching this grow the last 15 minutes and its development is rapid, lightning on it now, about to hit Much Wenlock.

Hopefully we'll have plenty of French imports before the season is out!

I took a gamble and Parked not far from Shaftesbury as it looked like it would be a decent spot for the storms pushing out of the far southwest, it turned out to be the wrong call..

Apart from a couple of rumbles and some very distant lightning, it's been very underwhelming.

However I've learned a decent amount when it comes to filming with the drone, using  ND filters, hopefully that will pay off later in the season 🤞

Good luck for Eastern areas this evening, looking forward to see lots of great footage.

Strange seeing the same cloud on stream then looking outside and its right in front 😅, who knows if some of us around here can squeeze out another little storm before the day is done. Nice Anvil developing on it now too.
