Ligit shelf cloud, gust front, outflow boundary, roll cloud, I like the underbelly of it.

A cracker of a storm here in Norwich lasted an hour with constant rumbling and grape sized hail 

The thunder was epic and can already hear round two on its way

I’m right under that! Torrential rain and a few recent flashes. Been spoilt over the past week!

Just had the most amazing storm this year so far!! Constant loud thunder and lightning. I also had few close cgs! I've got some footage but they are way too long

Did a bit of chasing today down towards Retford way to capture this which was way too east of me to catch,this out off the east coast

i checked the radar and not much was happening so headed back home up the A1 towards Doncaster and got off at Marr and spotted a lowering to my west but i got stuck in traffic,...AGAIN!

i did manage to get a vantage point eventually and i honestly thought it would produce a funnel

i then headed towards Mexbrough and back home and then the heavens opened big time like a monsoon,...this was still developing so i followed it east again and headed towards Edlington and ended up on the M18 bridge when i took this shot

nothing haapened storm wise here so headed back home but still managed to get one final shot of this shower.

so a bust today but i enjoyed the chase all the same and hopefully more crazy sky's and storms to come.

Attempted a chase today into north Notts and then Lincs. Plenty of heavy showers and photogenic skies but no thunder or lightning today. If I had been about 40ish miles east towards the east coast I would have probably had a treat, but I didn't get that far. 2 successes and 1 bust so far in 2023. I can't win them all.

Back home now, going to start editing yesterday's footage.

AROME 12z for tomorrow. Rash of showers developing along convergence zones. However the very slack winds causing the slow moving nature of them, means flash flooding could again been an issue for places stuck under the showers.

Some of these photos from you lot are amazing. I've got to up my game. Here's some more stuff from today.

This one didn't come out great.

 Ignore the people around me talking. About 0.5 cm hail occurred maybe up to 1cm. Also got really windy.

Loud thunder through the strong wind. Loudest since July last year but can barely hear it on the video for the wind. Ignore the start of my really awkward laugh.

Sometimes a shelfcloud is not just a shelfcloud... I have seen shelfclouds with a mesocylone on the end... In this case it could be also a wallcloud! A supercell can produce an rfd gustfront and that can interact with the outflow especially in situations with low lcl and rather smaller cells. Hilocs situations normally... high shear low cape. In the pictures i see an updraft and not only downdraft.
