No chance!

And if it ever happens, be prepared for a barrage of "The SE gets all the storms" after you've had one flash of lightning and a couple of rumbles......

Sitting here waiting patiently for the E/NE to be in on the fun. Plenty of time left in the season.

A few distant rumbles here today so can't complain. I'm feeling positive for the rest of summer for all of us, given trends seem to show High to our N/NE and Low over Portugal region. Could be good news for us thunderstorm lovers with plenty of opportunities for plumes, here's hoping.🤞🤞

I'm convinced it's not over.

More building to the SE

Just as we should, I mean we get better weather conditions for them anyways, besides I think that the midlands and wales have a much higher chance of seeing storms than us down here, it’s just that here they tend to be a bit more picturesque if you get what I’m saying

The sky over towards my east/north east has just gone very dark… Distant rumbles of thunder, and now the rain has started! ⛈️

My fourth storm in three days?! 🥳⛈️🙏🏻👌🏻

One cg bolt and a lot of rumbling, seems very elevated lightning wise once again although I've got a lovely pic of the clouds going over the sun

Hope the storm chasers have been to Crewe. Two separate cells at 6pm and 7pm with hail, thunder, lightning and torrential rain. Seems to be moving away to the NW now, so Liverpool and Merseyside beware! And all because of an innocuous trough which is due to move out into the Irish Sea later tonight.

Looks like West is best today!

Wasn’t that the case yesterday and the day before though? The cooler east coast seems to prevent thunderstorm development to the east of here.

I wrote the rest of today off too soon. Within no time at all a storm has developed to my E and heading my way! 😄

Intense weather in Stroud! Constant thunder, no interruption for at least 40 mins, torrential rain with torrential hail in the middle for half an hour. River running down the road, off the garden, everything on a slope. It’s an hour since the hail fell, but some of the stones are so big they haven’t melted yet.
