Interestingly, the movement of the storm to the SW of Guernsey is NW currently, against the direction of the others around it. I guess it could be riding an outflow boundary. In any case, it's about to merge with the Lannion one and probably move NNE with that lot!

Don't really want that MCS over NE Francr drifting in towards the SE, would prefer taking chances on individual storms firing and drifting for the lucky.

A warm East/SE breeze here.

High risk high reward for some

This has me concerned too, one of three possible options with this. 1 It hoovers up all the CAPE and decays leaving a turned over mess and nothing for those in the warning area. 2 Kent clipper and North Sea Special. 3 Kent and the E/A coast get something noteworthy as per MetCheck.

The Channel Island storms are likely forming off outflow.

I'm watching France, and noticing the development of what is meteorologically known as a "Reigate Corridor".  This phenomenon can be seen clearly wherein the large mass of thundery rain in north-west France heading north to England will pass to the east of Reigate, and the showers forming in Cherbourg area, will move north and pass to the west of Reigate.  This phenomenon will leave Reigate free of any thundery activity, and its residents utterly depressed

Gutted for you... and I've just crossed off Reigate from my house purchasing criteria... 😉

Le Havre is kicking off, which is across the channel from the South East :D

Its quite mad really.
That part of France seems to get a LOT of storms. Every time I'm tracking potential, its constantly rumbling around there.

Yet, this small channel of water causes so much of a problem for us. Always cooling the air and killing potential.

I initially was like. wtf is a Reigate Corridor that's a new one for me... Then the penny dropped. 🙂

Maybe all us storm lovers should start a petition to drain the channel, would help our storm situation out 😂

Those showers south of Bournemouth look decent. Let's hope they electrify.

Also, the cells SW of the Channel Islands are still moving straight northwards, could put other areas at risk later.

Are we allowed a second national applause if these things manage to put out a single strike 😅

This afternoon I wanted the storms to slow down, but now I want them to hurry up. Be careful what you wish for, I guess!
