GFS similar to the icon maybe not quite as far north. GEM and ECM slightly further south in the channel. UKMO furthest south with the system still across northern France.

The trend has been to move the snow risk north today. See if continues tomorrow or moves back south.

Kent really in firing line on todays models. Maybe even a few flakes Sunday night as well

Just as long as I can get to Canterbury and back on Monday using public transport I don't mind.

More likely to go south - I’m still not well enough to venture outside so not really bothered either way tbh 😟

I could do with flying south and finding some warm sunshine - Australia wouldn’t be too far atm

ECM/UKMO showing nothing of the sort!...well down into France (It's the GFS for God's sake!") 🙂

DWD ICON trends Wednesday's low and snow possibilities further north... 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ll probably be in the middle (no snow) bit between the snow over northern England and the channel low snow no matter what happens 😆

Morning all.

Mmm , these Models really can't make their mind up, can they.

Meanwhile, the 00z Hokey Cokey run says predicts this:

But perhaps this 'fella has called it correctly:

Think that any disruptive Snowfall will come as we go into February, when N.W. Kent will be cut off.

One teleconnection the Modals won't have factored in will be the L.O.S. [Law of the S-D].

Sidcup will now doubt become inaccessible and isolated, as it's then I will more than likely beginning a daily course of Radiotherapy, for Prostate Cancer.

No Long Range Forecast is as accurate, as that teleconnection,

You heard it here, first.

Regards,

Tom Q. 👍

Couple of this mornings Models showing there ‘might’ be snow on Wednesday. Fingers crossed.

The ICON and GFS show the best chance with the snow running along southern coastal counties then pivoting a bit in the east and pushing up across Essex.

GEM and ECM take it further south just clipping up into Kent. The UKMO isn't interested keeping it across northern France.

Still not resolved, we live in hope.

Good luck Tom with everything.

Without going into great detail, I had a similar scenario in Feb 91, when the snow prevented me visiting my Father in hospital at Haywards Heath. For those who remember, it was the period when we had the infamous Ian McAskill forecast. Does anyone have the YouTube link?

Much thanks, lk.

Remember February '91, very well.

Wasn't that the infamous Southern Region, "wrong type of Snow" event?

I think this is the  Ian McCaskill forecast, you're talking about:

Met office mention the possibility of light snow in the south on Wednesday. See if that changes later on.

GFS and it's ensembles still saying it's a 50/50 and the actual run is saying a definetely yes. Chance continues to be upgraded.

0600 runs from icon and GFS both move the snow slightly further south. Icon now misses so only the GFS has anything at all for our region.

Morning all.. netwx 7 day forecast says light snow here this evening. Wasn't expecting that.

I'll believe Wednesday when I see it! Looks like quite a cold one though, particularly with the wind chill. Meto also are picking on north Kent for the windchill too. Brrrr! 🥶

Loving the sods law forecast too @Tom Quintavalle 😄 Is there a specific date? I'll pop it in my phone as a reminder to add an extra prayer on the morning for you, and just to follow that date for snow potential 😉 the mad thread has suggested a "back loaded winter" with Feb being a good chance too so you may be on to something- even if unintentionally in jest!
