As if that'll ever happen!

 Neilsouth

I've worked out that "thunderstorms" actually means moderate drizzle.

At 8.30 this morning, the long trail of rain set up shop over us and made sure to stay right on course to keep stuff falling from the sky for as long as possible. Winter coat back on, hood up and shoes wet; pinning my hopes on a few nice days next week with high pressure preferably positioned to deliver some pleasant warm, clear weather.

I've just been on phone to dad's in Ramsgate, we are Margate.. due to do work on garden but he heard heavy rain and storms warning so postponed until tomorrow.

Is it just me,  but I am sure it's not that common having 2 days of storms,  then another warning the following week this early in the year? I'm not complaining though as long as this i isn't going to mean we get less in the way of proper summer storms

Absolute stinker of a day again. Can we at least get some sun before the forecast storms?

Rained all day, happy bank holiday.

Have been under so many threats of thunder recently, but had exactly none.

Approaching 30mm of rain today here now. Although we did have no joke a grand total of 2 mins of sun and hour ago (while it still rained). Just noticed the yellow thunderstorm warning for the south east has also been cancelled 😳. What a bank holiday!

Newben76 rhe system happened, the heavy rain that came over was definitely a convergence, but it didn't spark up.

Bogman last year there were at least 19 occasions when I was under a thunder storm warning and had precisely 0 storms.

Did have one storm when not under a warning though.
