Flash bang flash bang etc I could be waiting a while!

To be fair I’ve had two storms in the past few weeks which is a better ratio than the past 4-5 years. I’m just concerned I now won’t see anything until September as seems to be the norm.

Azazel I'm still gutted i missed the biggest night of the year last week....

Hoping that the weather will give us a sympathy display for us 😔

Lets hope the summer is full of events!

Meanwhile I'm stuck in a band of endless drizzle. Can't buy a storm so far, just like in 2023!

that bradford / leeds storm must be related to convergence and helped by the pennines.  was quietly hoping it'd get across, but my money is on it just sitting there until it runs out of juice..

The flooding from the storm over Leeds is insane. Just had to empty my pond with buckets as it overflowed onto the garden. Still tipping it down too.

There is a very dark line of Cu to my east that has just popped up within ten minutes.

Flash bang flash bang etc  Having been chasing twice in the Midwest/Arizona, technically I kind of have!

Decent little storm just went through yate, just before it arrived there was some very turbulent wave like clouds on the underside with some scuddy cloud moving at 90• to the direction the storm was travelling. Easily 20+ peels of thunder and very crisp IC lightning overhead , good start to the ⚡️ year after last weeks imported storms fizzled out almost overhead 😅

The Bristol storm may be making its way down to us. Keeping an eye on this!

Some videos from the flooding in the Bradford area. Absolutely bonkers totals. Falling on exceptionally saturated ground too.

That’s  some flooding just shows how nasty quasi stationary storms can be

Looking north west about 2 hours ago, think this went on to become the storms passing east of Worcester at the moment.
