The second weekend in a row with most of the rain overnight. Very fortunate timing! And a very pleasant afternoon outside.

dr weather Oh dear, unless you're a doctor of course.

I thought the trails through the Blaise estate were great and we got to drive over Clifton Suspension bridge.

Only just getting home now. Been a long day.

*Stormforce~beka* I was just in and out for a skin cancer operation. Sounds serious but isn't really. Just the type that can't spread. I grew up in the Channel Islands and got way too much sun as a kid. So I've been having various ops like this since around 2007. Most have been preventative (i.e. just removing suspicious moles) but a small amount were actual cancers.

Advice to younger people on here: use sun screen!

dr weather Just like the Baz Luhrmann track from the nineties.

Chance would be a fine thing, this year.

Morning All, another one of those bits of everything days, with rain earlier this morning here and showers around. Some sunshine and a fair amount of Broken clouds at a height of 1700 ft. The overnight low of 8.3°C at: 04:55 has made it up to 12.7°C, RH90% and a light breeze from the SW, pushing the showers through.

On Golden sands looking fairly gloomy out over the channel

Sorry if I seemed annoyed. It’s simply that we cannot even achieve a dry day! Fine, pleasant afternoon now though.

Looking at the radar from all morning until now perhaps there’s a weak front/trough moving slowly East. Pretty standard really 🙄

dr weather Yea I'm more into suncream now than I was! I mostly forget when going in the garden - gardening rather than sunbathing! It all needs cream regardless of the reason. My mil has S Cancer on her nose

Agree Beka, I’ve had 6 ops since October with another on my neck scheduled…really hope that’s the last! Still love the sun but wife says I’ve got to be sensible now.

Another wet walk this morning.

Yesterday was off and on drizzle/rain, when it was forecast to be decent, so didn't get as much done as planned.

The rest of the week is forecast to be a gloom fest. 😒

What are the Met Office on!?

is it really going to turn foggy this afternoon? It is barely ever still foggy at 14.00/15.00 even under a midwinter anticyclone!

I know it’s not Warminster but not a million miles away.  Over the Mendips it’s quite often been foggy in mid afternoon over the last few weeks.

Driving along Old Frome Road as been a typical hotspot for lingering fog, at times surprisingly dense too.  Cranmore another hotspot.

Well at least it'll be different (If it did happen) to the rest of the week.

Broken sunshine here through the morning but nothing to get too excited about. The cloud is gradually winning the battle.

Morning All, and overcast and drizzly morning, after the overnight low of 9.8°C at: 08:03, currently 10.4°C, RH97% and a light breeze in form the WSW.

From Above, the clearer conditions to the north are visible

Meanwhile on Golden sands, plenty of mizzle
